Back from Hiatus!

Hey peeps,

Ada lagi ke yang singgah baca blog ni? Blog ni rasanya dah boleh slowly masuk muzium kot, sebab dah kategori berzaman dah ni.

Dulu masa memula blogging, I thought I was consistent enough tau, I kept reminding myself untuk update, even 1 post 1 tahun, but now look, the latest was... 3 years already. Sungguh saya bersama orang yang lalang.

To mention 3 tahun right, dunia dah banyak berubah, even dalam tempoh these years, banyak betul beza, sekarang mostly AI macam cendawan tumbuh selepas hujan. Boleh kata everything related to AI, some of it memudahkan, tp it is scary to think how our data can be leaked just at the tip of our fingertip. As a Gen Z, oh yes, I am a Gen Z walaupun rasa macam tak layak duduk dalam kategori ni haha but I AM A GEN Z 😳 I have been thru phases of yahoo messenger, friendster, then slowly FB dominating, then musically, dubsmash, whatsapp, IG, TikTok omg, I am the OG guys πŸ˜›. My generation is the peakkk.

But to see the impacts of AI, gadgets on the youngster and current generation sangat menakutkan if the parents did not control them. The impact is very obvious, from education to manner. Not all, there are still benefits of it, I just speak in the sense of learning (critical thinking), screentime, and all sorts of negativity that came from this. Teknologi will never stop berkembang, this is the cycle, so I am on the side of supporting these IoT, but hypothetically speaking, its like perang saraf tp version modern haha even myself pon terjebak.

So many things happened within these years, imagine the coming years kan. Tak boleh fikir camne zaman mendatang.

Lately ni i macam dah kurang membaca tau, umm jap, the fact is, I am the one who is getting too lazy. I also dah barely draw. Zaman2 menua dah kot. Zaman dah mula malas nk update on everything, but also too lazy to delete everything. So biarjelah dekat sini.

I treat this blog like a time machine, capsule masa, where I can always go back to my old time. Boleh tengok my way of thinking the past years. haha I will cherish this one, it is never intended to have audiences, but only to myself but if ada la sorang dua yang pelik (yes i call u, the one reading this) that still read my blog. you are pelik because u read this blog. jk. I love you. 🀍

Till then, tata. See u when I see u next time. Could be days, months, years haha xx

some of my fav fantasy books to read

Hey peeps ;)

Today I'll be writing about novels. Yep. I really enjoy reading fantasy books especially with medieval theme or action or fighting or with sorcery/magic. Let say I enjoy every littlest thing of it as long as its called fantasy (something which is not likely to happen in this real world). The reason behind I like fantasy is still because it is fantasy πŸ˜† I like to create my own world so reading those is like fueling it up, but I understand that some people don't really like it. I guess it depends on individual tho.

So these are some of my fav books! (if anyone got any recommendations to recommend to me just let me know! I'm really open to some new suggestions 😍

1. A Monster Calls
I'll always go for this book. Periodt. I don't even care what other people tell me. Or they have new book that reaches millions readers, or bestsellers, or whatever this one is still my fav out of all. This book was about a young boy who lives alone with his terminal ill mother, he has a grandma which he hated the most and a father who already had another family and came visited him couple of times. The only thing he had was a tree, that came into life at 12:07 am. This tree has only one mission, and that mission is to make the boy accept the truth that his mom is leaving him soon. Which he initially insisted on believing (which also triggered the tree to come to life in the first place), though the tree could only be seen by the boy. This book is too good. I can't even - idk. Maybe just me

2. Mortal Engines (All Installments)
The installments were my first English novel that I've read, then I moved to the Hunger Games trilogy. I liked the concept, which was more towards futuristic event, and also a bit dystopian. I also liked that the heroine was described as ugly (she wasn't that ugly but an incident happened which caused her face to be permanently scarred), so unlike most books that describe the heroine to be pretty, this one was a bit unusual. Though I still imagine the character to be perfectly built for fighting and went rogue. It was about moving city that was built like a giant car, moving around destroying other small cities, and some machines built for killing too. Well I forgot most of the storylines already but it was really a good read 🀣 oh and since I was obsesses during the time I read the book right, I edited the movie version of Hester Shaw according to the book's specifications where right now if you search on google and type 'Hester Shaw' you will find the first image on Deviant Art, created by my alias efachan, was the one made by me πŸ˜† here you see here

3. The Knife of Never Letting Go
Ok this one was very confusing at first because it took me like few times of repeating the same couple of chapters to even get the idea that men's thoughts can be seen! Crazy right? Yes. They called it as "noise". So let say if a man think of a snake, then the snake appeared and could even attack the person in front of them! Another fun thing in the book was that, in the beginning, they thought woman was no longer exist after being eradicated by some sort of virus which triggered the "noise" so basically women were like an alien to them (but female characters were still part of the major developing roles, by the end) it is a trilogy so reading the first book might be a good read but I won't be responsible of your overspending money if you want to get the 2nd and 3rd book after reading the 1st πŸ˜† the main character had known that the town they lived had some sort of dirty secrets, and so with the town chief, a big major cause to the whole event in the book, there was another creature involved where if I'm not mistaken they called it by the name of The Spackle. Actually I'm just gonna spoil here that the spackle isn't the actual nemesis, but the mayor. Well all in all. It's a good read for someone that crave for adventure and dystopian sci fi themes.

4. I Am Number Four

This one has lots(very) of installments! So if you really decided to go for it then make your mind careful because it consists of 6 major sequels πŸ˜‚ this book is a about 9 people who has different ability and power accordingly. First, second and third were killed in the first book so basically it started with four. A group of a killer was searching for these 9 people due to their power and could only killed them in order. But as clichΓ© as it is, of course number four was the smartest and the toughest out of all, not to mention he's the main after all (since the strongest belong to 9 I couldn't mention four was strong but he could probably outsmart him ngl). Every book is a representative of each number, starting from I am Number Four, which goes to the next book, The Power of Six and the list goes on (in every book they focused on the said character, yet four was still outstanding in every part of it) and if you haven't seen the movie version, you may watch it. It's good but as a person who reads book and also watch the adapted version of the book, I always tend to like the books more because somehow movies skipped the best part, of course because if they didn't then it wouldn't be enough for the average 2 hours length movie.

And I've still got plenty good reads but for today I guess these seem enough!

1 Litre of Tears

1 litre of tears. Yes. The title says it all.

It's been a while aku tak update blog but its funny how after years I decided to start it with a post about this Japanese drama called 1 litre no namida (1 litre of tears)

Tapi warning alert ya, this drama is not a romantic or stays to happy ending. It's based on true story (adapted from Aya Kito's diary) and the ending, secara realitinya, watak utama meninggal due to incurable disease called Spinocerebellar Ataxia.

So, Aya (the main character) tak tahu yang dia ada penyakit ni, dia sedar pon bila dia kerap jatuh, she kept losing control of her own body, her mind lost range calculation, benda yang dia pegang kadang2 terlucut, benda tu buat dia makin tertanya2. Kenapa dengan dia, but obviously yang notice first adalah mak dia, then ayah dia then barulah Aya ni tahu yang dia was diagnosed with the disease.

So the drama went daripada Aya ni boleh berjalan macam normal until she got bedridden, x boleh berjalan n bercakap. Sedih sangat. I cried literally every episode πŸ₯Ί

Every each episode is eye opening, full with lessons and values.

Drama ni dah lama sebenarnya tapi aku baru tahu kewujudan drama ni tu pon sebab my friend recommended it. Thanks Anis! πŸ₯Ί

I highly encourage everyone to watch this. So far, in my entire life. This drama is one of the dramas yang agak memberi kesan dalam hidup aku.

nak tengok drama ni make sure spare stock tissue satu bundle kay! πŸ₯Ί
